First appointment

Well, I had my first pregnancy appointment yesterday. It went well, and they told me something that every pregnant woman hopes to hear but doesn't expect to hear: I might be farther along than I thought! Almost 2 weeks! Wahoo! They couldn't get an accurate measurement of the baby because he/she was scrunched up so I have another ultrasound planned for my next appointment to see if we can figure out how far I really am. So, I left the office smiling because that is really nice to hear. If you can can decipher our baby blob, here it is. If you ask me, that is the most incredible thing in the whole world!

Easter fun

We had a fun Easter! We actually did something this year instead of let it pass by without much celebration. The girls got cute little Easter dresses which I was excited about (plus the fact that I found Elena's at DI for $3 was awesome!). We did color eggs but it turned out the whole batch was bad. Bummer! And we just bought them on Saturday! We went to Jason's parents for the afternoon and had fun with engorging on yummy food and candy and having a hunt for the little ones. Here are some pictures of the day:

Five years ago...

Five years ago today we bombed Iraq. This was also the day Jason asked me to marry him. I can't believe it's been five years. The truth is I totally forgot about the fact that it was March 19th but Jason scored major points by bringing home some flowers. (He does not do that very often at all) It made me feel really special and reminded me why I even said yes in the first place. (Besides the fact that he was (is) really cute and I really like(d) him) So, happy anniversary to us!

Tidbits

This hat was supposed to be Jason's. However, his head is too big so it has been inherited by the girls (Elena mostly). I just think this picture is so cute with her curly hair going everywhere! Plus she loves to play me "beautiful songs" on the piano. I just hope she keeps that love of piano with her so she grows up to play. And on a sidenote: we paid off Jason's student loan today so we are officially debt-free! Hooray! Until we buy a house that is (whenever that happens).

Year of the Babies

Okay, I am going crazy! I am in great need of something to do. I don't really have anything to post on so I'll talk about all the babies that are coming to my side of the family this year. Altogether, there will be five babies born in 2008 on the Woodland side of the family. Two have already been born (congrats Cody and Crystal!) and three more will come July - October. My mom is calling it "the year of the babies." This will bring the number of grandkids to a whopping 21 in less than eight years. Talk about multiplying and replentishing the earth! So, if anyone has any suggestions as to what I could do to prevent myself from losing it, please let me know!

Pregnancy Update

You know what is really NOT fun? Being barely pregnant and getting the flu. Why? Because you don't know you have the flu because you think the sickness is from being pregnant. This is what happened to me last week (and part of the week before). I was so sick that I was puking anything I tried to put in my body and I was so weak that I couldn't even get up long enough to fix my girls a sandwich to eat (hence, they starved for about 3 days). My thought was, "I cannot do this for another day, let alone 3 months." But luckily, the bug passed and I am feeling so much better. No puking since Wednesday and I can eat whatever just as long as I eat every couple hours. So, bottom line is this won't be so bad and Jason is really glad because he did not enjoy having a "dead" wife.
