We Have a Job!

Jason just got a job in Blackfoot!  We are excited for several reasons: 1) It's just the end of May and we have a job so it gives us time to find a place and move 2) It's at the middle school teaching one class all day long 3) Jason has already taught half of the material of the class he is supposed to teach 4) My sister Monica is going to build a house in the Blackfoot/Firth area 5) and my other sister Crystal is likely to end up there as well.  So, it is quite a relief to not be wondering and worrying where we will go.  We are sad to have to leave Preston but Blackfoot won't be too bad. So, yeah for us!  If anyone has connections to apartments/housing in Blackfoot let us know.  Love you guys!

Fun "New" Toy and Cousins

Jason brought his office chair that I got him for Christmas home from school. The girls think it is the greatest new toy because they can spin around on it. On Memorial Day, Chris and Janelle and kids stopped at our house to see it (before we move again). It seems that Ryan and Olivia thought it was a great toy too. Here are some fun pics.

Wild Couch

I promised pictures of our re-covered couch. These are those crazy fish sheets we got for Christmas 3-4 years ago. Yes, it is a little wild for my taste. I can't completely decide if I'm going to keep it that way or just take it all off. It won't stay very well and the tacks I bought for it won't stay because they aren't long enough. Any suggestions?
Also, here is a funny Elenaism from a couple days ago:
Elena has this little stuffed beany-baby type dog which she calls Fluppy. It was time for bed and we were trying to find it. Elena called to him, "Fluuuuuppy! Arf, arf," then she turns to me and says, "see, he's calling for help." I thought it was reallly funny!

My Girls

I was in the Logan mall last week and got stopped by Kiddie Kandids. They asked if they could practice their photography on my girls and I could get a free 8X10. I said sure but be warned that Becca was covered with candy necklace powder. I knew how these things worked: they would take a ton of cute pictures of your kids and you buy them and they make money. Well, I did get my free 8X10, Becca's messy face and all, (which is the first picture) and it is darling. And yes, I did get suckered into the montage but I just couldn't leave those three pictures behind. Your children are only little once, and to get one kissing the other is too priceless. Plus, I loved their individuals. So, I thought I would share them with everyone since I don't get very many visitors to show in person.

Picking Flowers

I have fond memories of when I would lovingly pick some "beautiful" dandelions and give them to my mom. I was so proud because I had done such a thoughtful thing. I did not realize then that all those dandelions in the yard were actually an annoying weed, and it was not appreciated when we would blow all the seeds to the wind. Yesterday was a beautiful day so the girls and I went outside to look at the flowers. Before I knew it, they were picking those dandelions and bringing them to me and saying, "Hold this Mom, it's for you." Oh, the joys of motherhood. I was glad I grabbed the camera because they look so cute!

Look Mom, for you!

I think this picture is just precious!

Cheese

One of those rare moments when both kids will smile for the camera at the same time. I think this picture is so cute of my kids (yes, I mean Jason too). Notice our lovely couch? I used to belong to Jason's grandparents. It's nothing to look at but it is pretty comfy to sit and especially lay on. I'm covering it with some wild fish sheets. Pictures are forthcoming...

Graduation

So, even though I actually graduated in December, I walked yesterday. ISU doesn't have a winter commencement (which I think is stupid, but what does my opinion matter?) so everyone walks in May. As a result, I didn't know most of the people in my own college of Education. That was weird to think that I'd spent over four years at this school but didn't know hardly anyone. I think I knew more people outside my college than inside. Anyway, it went fine and I'm glad I did it (even if it was 3 hours long). So, congratulations to me!
The traditional, "Oh, look at my really cool (empty) diploma cover" pose.
Becca was ready for a nap. Understandable.

Happy Mother's Day

I just wanted to wish all my family and friends a Happy Mother's Day! I hope you all have a fantastic day with lots of pampering from husbands, kids, etc. Mine's been really good except Becca is being overly dramatic about everything so she's crying a lot. *sigh* the joys of motherhood. Jason got me a snow cone maker. He said he was thinking about this summer when it's hot and I'm extremely pregnant. Sweet, huh?
