Happy Birthday to Me

Yesterday was my 26th birthday, and it was great! Jason had asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I told him I wanted to be surprised. I wanted something that showed me he loved me. He said, "Are you sure you don't just want a card with $5 in it?" I just gave him that "look." So, the night before my birthday about 10:15 PM, Jason told me I needed to go in the bedroom and not come out for a long time. I was fine with that since I was tired and it was bedtime. I fell asleep and he came in sometime after that.
The next morning (my birthday) Jason's alarm went off. After hitting the snooze a few times and after I'd gotten up to get Mckenzie a bottle and brought her back to bed with me, Jason got up and showered. He then got dressed and went out to get breakfast for himself like he always does...or so I thought! After being in bed for awhile (and Elena had joined me), I decided I'd better get up and change Mckenzie's diaper before she peed all over me. As I walked out of my bedroom, the smell of bacon hit me. Jason had made me breakfast complete with crepes, bacon, and orange juice. We all sat down to eat together which doesn't happen very often for breakfast since Jason leaves for school and I don't get my butt out of bed that early. As I watched the clock, I got a little nervous about the fact that it was 8:00 and Jason hadn't left yet and that he was going to be late. Then I really looked at him and realized that he was dressed in jeans and a T-shirt. I said, "You're not going to work today, are you?" That was my second surprise (the first being breakfast). Then Jason gave me my present. I opened it and it was a card he'd made with $5 inside. On the card it said, "I know this isn't what you wanted but look inside the $5." Inside was a paper that said I was to use the $5 to tip the masseuse for my one hour massage at Noon! What a great gift! So we went to Pocatello and Jason took the girls while I enjoyed my massage and we bought a pizza for lunch and came home. For dinner, we cooked up some steaks from our freezer (so yummy) and went to the football game. We won and came home and ate my birthday pie (I always ask for pie for my birthday). Then I was so tired, I went to bed and was asleep within 2 minutes of laying down. It was a great birthday! Here are a couple pictures to remember the day by:

Trip to Lake Powell

The girls and I went to Lake Powell with my parents last week. We had a blast! I could tell you all about it but I'll just put up the pictures since I'm feeling a little lazy.
Headed to the Lake. They really were excited.
Waiting on the day beach to go out to the houseboat.
Elena playing in the water
Becca thinking about going in
Mckenzie loving being out of the carseat. It was a long drive but well worth it!
Becca swimming with Grandpa. She dubbed herself "Red Fish" and Elena was "Blue Fish." They loved swimming!
Mckenzie decided to see what the sand tasted like
Elena belly boarding. She went behind the boat the first day and fell off. So my parents would swim her out from the back of the houseboat and I pulled her in using the ski rope. Becca tried it too but I didn't get a picture.
Proof that I was there. My big accomplishment was learning to drive the red boat to the right there.
Building a sandcastle with Grandpa
Curly-haired twins
My beautiful mom with the girls
Elena and Becca on their tube ride. We finally convinced Becca to try it and she loved it!
After a week of playing on the way home.
We had so much fun! Thanks to Mom and Dad for letting us crash the party!

Happy Birthday, Becca!

Becca is 3 years old today. We had a fun day. We decorated her ladybug cake (seen below) then did a quick run to the store. On the way back, we decided to stop at the library. We were there about 10 minutes when Mckenzie blew out her diaper and I didn't have the diaper bag so home we went. The girls watched a Barbie movie while we waited for Jason to get home. Then we went to the soccer game, got pizza, came home and had cake and openned presents!
I thought it turned out pretty cute.

Lighting the fire
Fire extinguished!
Opening her "big" present (everything was inside)
Her OWN purple backpack that contained a princess crown, necklace, earrings, and ring, the Tinkerbell Movie, and some balloons.
Becca, I am so glad you got to come to our family! We love you!
