Recipe for Whitening Whites and Baby Poop

Hi, guys! I've been meaning to post this for a while and I just haven't ever got around to doing it. I know I'm not the only one who's child(ren) blow out of diapers or spit up or cause other horrendous stains on clothing. Plus, my whites tend to get a little dingy-looking over time. So, here is a great recipe that my sister, Monica gave me when I had Elena. It will take out those stains AND whiten your whites! It is amazing. If you try it, I would like to know what you thought.

Clean Clothes Category: Baby Poop
Prep Time: 24 hours Servings: 3 outfits (give or take)
Ingredients
1 bucket
1 gallon of hot tap water
1 scoop of OxyClean Powder (kind of expensive but SO worth it)
Zout (for pre treating
Clorox 2 (follow instructions on bottle)
This is also a great way to whiten your whites and also works on spit up and other baby stains.
Instructions
Spray Zout on affected area as soon as you can. If the stain has dried, wet first and try to rinse as much of the stain out of the clothes to begin with. Put OxyClean and water as well as stained clothing into bucket and let sit for 24 hours or longer. (Do NOT let dark colors i.e. blacks and blues sit with light colors) When ready to launder add 3-4 scoops of OxyClean to a full batch of laundry with regular laundry soap. Add less OxyClean if the load is smaller and add Clorox 2 as instructed on the bottle. Add laundry (preferably whites) and the entire contents of you soaking bucket to your washing machine. Let washing machine fill with water and agitate. Stop wash and let sit for one hour. Then start cycle over again and let the entire cycle run. Poop should be gone.

Good luck!

I wish I had you around when my girls were little! I will copy this and save it anyway because you never know when you'll need to save an article of clothing! Thanks!

I am a friend of Jason's from High School. I think you worked with my mom a bit too at Preston High School.(DeAnn Hayes) I was just skimming your blog and saw the post of your cousin--So sorry. It is just such a small world. She was in my good friends ward in Tremonton. My friend had told me about her passing and how sad she was that she died cause they were just becoming friends. Really a small world and how so many of us are connected.
