Jason and I were able to go to San Diego for the Designer Trip with Premier Designs at the end of April. It was AWESOME! It was so nice to get away for a few days before life got really crazy with the twins. Here are a fraction of the pictures we took on our trip:
The view from our hotel room at the USS Midway. Very cool! The weather was PERFECT!
Jason at the Padres vs. Braves
Jason got a couple autographs
We had seats really close but after about 3 innings, we moved to the shade because it was just too hot for extremely pregnant me.
After the game we booked it to join others in our group on a Harbor cruise. It was really neat because we learned a lot about San Diego up and down the harbor.
Our hotel from the water
After the cruise, we went to a seafood place (I can't remember the name) right on the water with Jason and Melanie Weir, my Premier mom. We stuffed ourselves. Jason looks as pregnant as me! =)
Statue of Bob Hope
This is Andy Horner, the FOUNDER of Premier Designs! He is so awesome! Jason had just left me to go do some homework and I got to meet Andy in person.
He asked when the baby was due and when I told him it was twins, his face just lit up! I told him it would make 5 kids for us and he said, "I have 5 kids and it is just great! Now THEY all take care of ME!" and then he giggled. So cute!
On Thursday, we went with some fellow jewelers to La Jolla. It was really cool and we enjoyed ourselves. We saw a lot of sea lions on the beach and it was fun to watch the tide come in. Nothing makes you feel so small as standing next to the ocean.
I have wanted to see the San Diego temple ever since I was a little kid. I didn't think I would get to but the wonderful other jewelers (who are not LDS) were so nice as to drive us there to see it. I kicked myself that I didn't have my recommend with me because I left it at home.
Jewelers from Arizona. Kristen, Claudia, Theresa, Anadine, and me. Theresa is my Premier Great-great-grandma (I'm in her 4th level). LOVE these girls!
How's this for a belly shot?
Standing by the Joshua tree. It was HUGE!
Friday night we were treated to an evening on board the USS Midway. There were flight simulators, USO show, and fireworks to rival 4th of July. It was really neat!
With Melanie, my Premier Mom. Love her!
In front of the Midway
Jason waiting to get on the flight simulators. I decided it probably wouldn't be best for me to get on being pregnant because I puked on the airplane coming and going.
The morning we came home. I look tired, but that's because I was! This was about the last week of my pregnancy that I felt really good.
I walked a lot but had a great time! It was TOTALLY worth it!
For you Lake Powell lovers: you can see Bullfrog Bay and Halls Creek. I was glad I got to see Lake Powell since I didn't get to go this summer.
Hope to see you again sometime, San Diego!
