Our stake had a 24th of July celebration and we had a lot of fun at it. Of course there was food and then lots of activities. We started with a family picture. I think it turned out really good:

They had horse rides for the little kids. Elena and Becca chose to ride together for the first ride.

Elena "milking" the cow

Becca "milking" the cow

checking out the piggies

I picked up this backpack at DI for $2 and decided that it was an excellent investment since I can tote Mckenzie around without killing my arms.

Elena won although I did think Becca would

Jason took a turn since it was pretty hot

Elena trying to duck someone

Becca didn't get her either...

The girls wanted to go for another ride on their "own" horse. So I let them.

What a fun activity!

Holy Fun!! What a fun day!!
What a lot of great ideas! Those are something just about any unit could do for the 24th. OH, I used a pack much like the one you got at the thrift store, ours was orange and a tremendous help for parent and child.
What a fun summer you are having!
