First Haircuts

While visiting my mom for a couple days, my sister-in-law, Emily, came over to visit too. I was commenting about Becca's hair and how it really needed a trim but I was too nervous to do it. She hasn't had a haircut in her life (as well as Elena). Emily has cut her daughter Kenna's hair (same age as Becca) several times so she said she'd do it. Becca was so good to sit still while Emily trimmed it.
First lock off.
It looks a lot better: not so stringy and four hundred layers.
Well, Elena didn't want to be left out so I let her get her hair trimmed too. We just shorted up the sides since when it's curly, they end up being longer than the back. It was kind of sad because it's taken her 4 years to get this much hair so we didn't take much off.

She was so excited!
See, not much different. And see my lovely mom in the background: she's so pretty!

I just cut Mariah's hair for the first time this past week or so. (She did have a *very* small trim back in september, though) I was cutting Micah's hair, and she was watching, so I thought, "What the Heck", and I cut hers too. I ended up cutting about 1 1/2 inches off...and then a few days later, I had to cut the *top* layer of her hair, since that still looked stringy...it looks ok now...but I'm not used to seeing it as short as it is, even though I didn't cut much off!

And the haircuts look so nice - Emily did a great job.
