Yay! We are having successful on the potty training front! You have NO idea how excited I am that Elena has FINALLY decided that she IS a big girl and can go potty in the toilet. She was so excited this last week when we went to the store to buy her underwear (Jason hates that "P" word). She was very descriptive to the very patient cashier that this underwear was for her because she is a big girl now and does not wear diapers and goes potty in the toilet, etc, etc, etc. Yes, we've had a few accidents but only one dealing with the gross stuff so I can handle it. Plus, the fact that she is doing this somewhat cold turkey is cool. I decided that I was not going to press the issue AT ALL until Elena decided she was ready and it has been wonderful! Yeah, it would have been nice if she was trained 6 months ago, but at least it has not been anything stressful for either of us and that is all that matters. The other thing is I think Becca will not be too far behind because she is already asking to sit on the toilet and wipes herself (even if nothing does come out) and then gives me a big smile and says she did it. Very cute!

I am so jealous we just can't do anything to get Ryan interested he just doesn't care. Livvy is kind of intrigued though I hope to have both of them out of diapers by her birthday actually if we are hoping than before summer.
Mallory wouldn't even look at a toilet til she was three but once she was in the department o' training , she never looked back. She only wet the bed twice and even then, that was in the first week of potty training. Anyway, I think thats why its a great idea to wait until they show interest and no sooner. And Kate- since 2 and a half years so Im sure your littler one will be right along sooner than you think!
From one mom to the other, that is HUGE news! Olivia was just like Becca, she saw Trevor & decided she wanted in on the action too. A few short months later & she was done, it was awesome. Unfortunately though, this past week Trevor has been deciding to test his bladder & keep playing instead of going potty. Fun stuff.
